Know Your Mind

Our Mind is our greatest asset and liability. So it all depends on how we handle it. We can live as a slave to it or as a master. Our Mind has intrigued men from times immemorial. Our great rishis were masters of their Mind. In modern times psychology has gained a lot of importance as it touches upon almost every aspect of human endeavor. Modern psychology has been more of a study of human behavioral patterns. This has its own limitations. Superficially every Mind is different. However holistically and in-depth every Mind is the same. The Mind is more or less a mechanical device. It can be operated cleverly if we can understand the mechanism or the laws that govern it.

Structurally every Mind is full of data waiting to be processed. How can we process it to generate wisdom? Knowledge as data is a load. Wisdom lightens us and lights us up from within. People believe Mind is absolutely difficult to fathom or to befriend. We have been taught so. This is because they have failed miserably attempting the wrong way. There is no lock that cannot be opened with the right key. It is also obvious that the key always comes before the lock. How can God give us a Mind that is eluding and troubling us all the time? Our Mind is truly the greatest gift of God. He has given us the key too to make the best use of it. So what is the key to our Mind?

Man is Mind. Easiest is the way to learn the complexities of our Mind. !! He who looks within sees knows and conquers his Mind. As we have already seen our Mind is full of data. Creation is the result of processing these data. Questions initiate this process. The most profound of all these questions is “Who am I”? Questions are specific and have the sharpness to penetrate the depth of our subconscious Mind.

“Who am I” is simply the perfect attitude. Its subtlety has the power to go beyond even the unconscious mind and into the superconscious state. Our great rishis by simply being in question mode unveiled all the secrets and the mysteries of our Mind. Even Mother Nature was not a mystery to them. When we have a Mind of our own, there is absolutely no need to peep into another’s Mind to learn about Mind. Our Mind yields and reveals itself to questions. Potentially our Mind is Totality. In fact, what we are is our Mind. How dare we say that we cannot understand ourselves? Our attitude is the sole factor that will help reveal the mystery. Our Mind is indeed our asset and will always standby us when we need it from time to time. Questions have an uncanny knack of taming and opening our Mind.

When we are truly sincere we always realize that in the depth of our mind we are a question. The question is “Who am I?”. When we have this question we are absolutely true to ourselves. When we all realize this question all conflicts will end and Oneness will dawn. Our problem is that we are holding on firmly to absolutely invalid and foolish answers as part of different belief systems. When we have all the answers we are egoistic and thereby defeating ourselves. In fact, we have made things difficult for ourselves by going the wrong way. As we entertain all the invalid answers the question that is the key will continue to elude us. Let questions make our way into Reality. The key to Mind is the key to Love.
